- Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan.
- Add in 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and wait till they crackle.
- Add in a sprig of curry leaves.
- Add in a cup of finely chopped onions and sauté till they turn translucent..
- Now add in 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes and cook till they turn mushy..
- Add in 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala.
- Add 1 teaspoon coriander powder.
- Add in a pinch of asafoetida.
- Add salt as per taste.
- Add in a tablespoon of chopped cilantro leaves and mix well.
- Add in the cauliflower florets.
- Add in 1/2 a cup of water and mix well.
